Spravato is prescribed for two specific diagnoses

You've tried at least two antidepressants at adequate doses without enough relief. Spravato works on a different pathway than pills you've likely already tried.
MDD with suicidal ideation
For major depressive disorder with acute suicidal thoughts or behavior, Spravato is FDA-approved to be used alongside an oral antidepressant.

How is Spravato different from IV ketamine?
Spravato (esketamine) is FDA-approved, and its intranasal formulation is what's studied and covered for treatment-resistant depression and MDD with suicidal ideation. IV ketamine is often used off-label and is typically self-pay. We offer both, and your evaluation will point you to the right one.
Will my insurance actually cover it?
Most major plans in Utah cover Spravato for the approved diagnoses, though prior authorization is usually required. We verify your specific benefits before you commit to anything.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is required to schedule an evaluation. If you're already seeing a therapist or PCP, we're happy to coordinate care with them.
